為推展海外華語文教育,並因應全球華語文教學趨勢變化以及華語學習環境改變等情勢,僑委會特別邀集專業編撰團隊,以外語教學概念,並依據中華民國國家教育院整合華語教學專業人士研發之「臺灣華語文能力基準(TBCL)」語詞分級第一級至第二級,開發適合海外各行各業成人華語文能力零起點人士學習之《來!學華語》教材,期透過自然對話的方式,學習日常生活所需之應對詞彙,以奠定華語文的基礎,並為日後學習進階華文作準備。

華語熱是當前國際社會語言學習重要潮流,全球各地學習需求日益殷切,學習人數不斷攀升,長期投注華語教學的海外僑校掌握華語學習需求熱潮,開始朝與主流接軌的方向發展。為推展海外華語文教育,並因應全球華語文教學趨勢變化以及華語學習環境改變等情勢,僑委會特別邀集專業編撰團隊,以外語教學概念,並依據中華民國國家教育院整合華語教學專業人士研發之「臺灣華語文能力基準(TBCL)」語詞分級第一級至第二級,開發適合海外各行各業成人華語文能力零起點人士學習之《來!學華語》教材,期透過自然對話的方式,學習日常生活所需之應對詞彙,以奠定華語文的基礎,並為日後學習進階華文作準備。

The Huayu (Mandarin) fever is an important global trend and there is increasing demand for Mandarin learning all over the world, the number of learners increasing all the time. Overseas compatriot schools have long been involved in Mandarin teaching and, abreast of the burgeoning demand for learning Mandarin, have begun to develop in the direction of aligning with the mainstream. To promote overseas Mandarin learning, respond to changes in global Mandarin teaching trends and changes in the Mandarin learning environment, the OCAC assembled a professional writing team and developed language teaching materials “Let's Learn Mandarin,” which is suitable for adults in all walks of life, following the foreign language teaching concept and based on grade 1 to grade 2 words and phrases of the Taiwan Benchmarks for the Mandarin (TBCL) developed by integrated Mandarin teaching professionals of the National Academy for Education Research. It is hoped that through natural dialogue and learning the vocabulary needed in daily life, the foundation of Mandarin can be laid and preparation done for advanced study of Mandarin in future.

2. 以成人基本的日常生活需求為取材範圍,著重實用性與功能性,以學習後能用、會用為目標。
3. 以國家教育研究院制定的「臺灣華語文能力基準(TBCL)」詞語及語法點分級標準為編寫依據。

1. Let's Learn Mandarin is designed for the general population to learn Mandarin as a foreign language. The topics and settings aim to help adult beginners develop their communicative competence.
2. The texts provide the language curriculum about the basic daily lives of adults with the focus on the practical and functional aspects. The goal is to enable learners to attain the skills to apply and master the language.
3. The classification for words and syntaxes from ”The Taiwan Benchmarks for the Mandarin (TBCL)” developed by National Academy for Educational Research is the basis for the content of Let's Learn Mandarin.
4. A manageable quantity and sequential order of vocabulary, grammars, and dialogues are based on the learning environment and the ability of adult learners.
5. Four language skills including listening, speaking, reading, and writing are developed with a balance. The task-based activities help enhance learner's listening and speaking abilities.
6. The workbook is designed with various practice opportunities. Moreover, a focus on listening exercises helps the absence of language environment for practicing listening and speaking overseas.
7. The section of “Culture Notes” is engaged with the topics to give the learner a deeper look at culture through language learning.

1. 我們除了在全球華文網提供《來!學華語》教材PDF檔及MP3外,海外備查僑校及臺灣華語文學習中心可透過駐外館處及華僑文教服務中心申請紙本教材。

In addition to providing Let's Learn Mandarin teaching materials in PDF format and MP3 on our HuayuWorld.org website, Overseas Compatriot Schools and Overseas Taiwan Centers for Mandarin Learning can apply for printed teaching materials through overseas Embassies & Missions and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (T.E.C.O.).

《來!學華語》教材全套4冊,包含第1至4冊,每冊都有課本、作業本、教師手冊及朗讀音檔。
課本:每冊共十課。課文:採對話方式,以正體字為主,搭配注音符號與漢語拼音(有簡報檔可供下載)。英文課文及簡體字課文附錄於後。
作業本:每冊共十課。每課均包括聽力練習3項,如:分辨聲調、聽出語詞、理解句子等練習。在閱讀理解方面有課文理解、語法重組練習、語句理解判斷。在書寫方面有漢字習寫與翻譯之練習。
教師手冊:包含教學指引、課本練習解答、作業本解答、聽力文本、測驗卷一份、其他資源連結等。
課文對話、生詞、作業本的錄音檔案。

Let's Learn Mandarin consists of 4 volumes, including Books 1-4. Each volume comes with textbook, workbook, teacher's manual, as well as audio files.
Textbooks: Each volume includes 10 lessons. Text: displays dialogue in traditional character version with phonetic symbols. (Texts in downloadable PPT files are also available.) English texts and the texts in simplified characters are in the appendix.
Workbooks: Each volume includes 10 lessons. Each lesson includes three parts of listening exercises, such as differentiating tones, recognizing the characters/words, and sentences. Reading comprehension includes text comprehension, word rearrangement and sentence comprehension. Writing exercises include character writing and translating.
Teacher's Manuals: includes teaching guide, answer key for textbook exercises and workbook, scripts for listening tasks, quizzes, and resources links.
The audio recordings include each lesson's dialogue, vocabulary of textbook, and listening exercise of workbook.

《來!學華語》每一冊安排三篇與語言相關的華人文化。第一冊第一單元是「親屬稱謂」,置於第三課後。第二單元是「人們打招呼的方式」,置於第六課後。第三單元是「漢字六書介紹」,置於第十課後。
第二冊第一單元是「華人的送禮習俗」,置於第三課後。第二單元是「華人的食物和飲料如何命名」,置於第六課後。第三單元是「臺灣人的休閒活動」,置於第十課後。

Culture Notes in Let's Learn Mandarin:
Volume 1 contains three culture notes related to the language. The first one is “Kinship Titles” placed after Lesson 3. The second one is “How Do People Greet Each Other in Taiwan” placed after Lesson 6. The third one is “Six Etymological Principles of Traditional characters” placed after Lesson 10.
Volume 2 contains three culture notes related to the language. The first one is “Gift Giving Etiquette in Taiwan” placed after Lesson 3. The second one is “How Mandarin Food and Drinks Are Named” placed after Lesson 6. The third one is “Common Leisure Activities in Taiwan” placed after Lesson 10.

《來!學華語》是以一年學習一冊為編寫原則,但各校每週授課時數及教學型態多有差異,建議各校視實際情況做彈性調整。

Let's Learn Mandarin is designed one book for each school year, but various schools set aside different numbers of hours each week for teaching Mandarin and employ different teaching methods. We suggest that schools adjust the pace of instruction to their own situations.
